Phil has been in the financial services industry since 1987. Prior to that time, he owned and operated a real estate company in southeastern Idaho, where he also served as president of the Pocatello Board of Realtors. His vast real estate experience has greatly helped him better serve the needs of his clients over the years. He has served on the board for the Portland Chapter of the Oasis Foundation and has helped facilitate millions of dollars in endowed scholarship funds for Portland Community College and universities in Washington. Phil currently holds an insurance license in Oregon, Washington, and various other states. He furthered his higher education at Ricks College, College of Southern Idaho, and Idaho State University. He resides in Camas, Washington, with Tawna, his wife of 38 years. They are parents of six children and 13 grandchildren.
